Aakakarakai Aava Koora


1.Aakakarakai (Teasel gourd) boiled with salt
2.Tempering seeds
3.Green chillies
4.Dry red chillies
5.Curry leaves
6.Tamarind pulp
7.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
9.Mustard powder 2 tbsp
10.Salt to taste
12.Coriander leaves
13.Cashewnuts fried in ghee


1.Take a pan,add tempering seeds,green chillies,dry red chillies,curry leaves.Saute the tempering for few seconds.
2.Add tamarind pulp and add some water,Add turmeric powder,salt.Mix it well.
3.Add peanuts and bring it to boil.
4.Now add teasel gourds(Aakakaraka) mustard powder.Saute the mixture.
5.Cook this for 2-3 minutes.
6.Add coriander leaves,boondhi and fried cashewnuts and serve hot..!!
