Chole Dhania Masala


1.Kabuli chana (Chick peas)
2.Chana dal (Split bengal gram)
3.Coriander leaves 1 bunch
4.Onions sliced 2-3
5.Butter 2 tbsp
6.Cinnamon stick
7.Cumin seeds 1 1/2 tbsp
8.Coriander seeds 1 1/2 tbsp
9.Cloves 4-5
10.Green chillies 2-3
11.Garlic paste 1 tbsp
12.Ginger paste 1 tbsp
13.Dry mango powder 1/2 tbsp
14.Garam masala powder 1/2 tbsp
15.Red chilli powder 1/4 tbsp
16.Salt to taste


1.Lightly roast the cinnamon stick,cumin seeds,coriander seeds,black cardamom,cloves in a pan and powder it.
2.Grind coriander leaves and green chillies intoa smooth paste.
3.Take a pan add butter,melt it.
4.Add sliced onion saute till they are golden brown.
5.Add ginger,garlic paste and saute for another minute.
6.Add dry mango powder,garam masala powder and mix well.
7.Add spice powder and mix well.Add coriander paste and saute for 2-3 min.
8.Add soaked and boiled chick peas,chana dal and mix.
9.Add 1/2 cup of water if mixture is too dry.Cook for 4-5 min.
10.Take a pan add butter and heat it,add red chilly powder and immediately pour onto chana mixture and mix well.
