Gongura Senagapappu


1.Gongura 2 bunches (Sorrel leaves)
2.Chana dal 1 cup boiled and cooked
3.Garlic cloves 5
4.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
5.Green chillies 4
6.Turmeric powder a pinch
7.Salt to taste
8.Curry leaves
9.Fenugreek leaves 1/4 tbsp
10.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Take a pan pour some oil,heat it.Add garlic cloves, fenugreek leaves,green chilli paste(green chillies,cumin seeds) curry leaves and saute for 1 minute.
2.Add gongura leaves,turmeric powder,salt,boiled chana dal and saute for few minutes till gongura leaves become tender and cooked.
3.Add some water as we needed and mix well till its done.Off the stove and transfer into a bowl.Serve hot with chapathis.
