Gutti Bendakaya Curry


1.Lady finger 1/4 cup (Bendakaya)
2.Dry coconut powder 1 cup
3.Tamarind pulp
4.Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
5.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
6.Dry red chillies 2
7.Salt to taste
8.Tempering seeds 1 tbsp
10.Curry leaves
11.Baby onions 3
12.Garlic cloves 4
13.Oil for deep frying


1.In a mixi jar add coconut powder,coriander seeds,tamarind,jaggery,dry red chillies,salt,cumin seeds,garlic cloves,baby onions and grind into fine smooth paste.
2.Now cut and slit the lady fingers and stuff the grounded mixture,repeat same process for all other.
3.Take a pan pour some oil,add tempering seeds,curry leaves and saute.
4.Place the stuffed lady fingers in oil,remaining masala paste and cover it.Cook for few minutes till tender.Serve as side dish with rice...!!
