Kobbari Burelu


1.Jaggery 1 cup
2.Coconut powder 1/2 cup
3.Rice flour 1/4 kilo Soaked rice
4.Oil for deep frying
5.Ghee 1 tbsp


1.Take a pan add jaggery grated,add little amount of water until jaggery submerges in water.Prepare jaggery syrup.
2.Add coconut powder to rice flour mixture and mix well.
3.Take a pan pour oil for deep frying.
4.Add rice flour to jaggery syrup and stir continuously without forming any lumps.Add cardamom powder in between for flavor.
5.Stir continuously until it obtains a soft dough.Transfer into a bowl.
6.Take small portion of dough in your palms and prepare round balls.Grease plastic cover with oil,press the dough into a flat small size chapathi on cover gently.
7.Slowly drop the prepared kobbari burelu into hot oil and deep fry on medium flame till it turns golden colour.
8.Keep turning on both the sides till it attains the colour repeat the same process for other.Serve ..!!
