1.Onions (cut and slit in four halves,make a small hole in middle for stuffing)
2.Chana dal
3.Tempering seeds
4.Red chilli powder
6.Coriander leaves
7.Salt to taste
8.Dry red chillies
9.Coconut grated
11.Curry leaves
12.Garlic cloves


1.Grind boiled chana dal 1 cup,dry red chillies 5-6,coconut grated 1 cup,putnalu 1/2 cup,salt and some water.Grind into a smooth paste.
2.Transfer the mixture into a bowl.
3.Take another pan pour some oil an heat it.
4.Add tempering seeds 2 tbsp,garlic cloves 9-10.curry leaves and saute for few minutes.
5.Now stuff the onions with chana dal paste and place them in frying pan.
6.Add some water to the remaining chana dal mixture and keep aside for gravy.
7.Cover and cook for few minutes,add remaining chana dal mixture,red chilli powder,salt,coriander leaves.
8.Cover and cook for few more minutes till it cooks completely.Serve hot...!!!!
