1.Moong dal soaked and grinded into a paste
2.Tomatoes chopped
3.Asofetida (Inguva)
5.Turmeric powder
6.Salt to taste
7.Green chillies
8.Tempering seeds
9.Rasam powder
10.Coriander leaves
12.Onion chopped
13.Garlic cloves
14.Curry leaves


1.Take a pan add 1/2 bowl moong dal paste,some water as we needed,tamarind 1 tbsp,turmeric powder a pinch,salt,tomatoes chopped 1 tbsp,garlic cloves 3-4 give it a mix.Cook on medium flame,bring it to boil till tomatoes cook soft and pulpy.
2.Add some water,1 tbsp rasam powder and keep stirring,off the stove and keep aside.
3.Take another pan add 2 tbsp oil and heat it,add tempering seds,green chillies 2-3,garlic cloves 3-4,coriander leaves 1 cup,onion chopped 1 cup,inguva a pinch and saute till onions turn into light golden colour.
4.Finally off the stove and transfer tempering mixture into rasam and give it a good mix.Serve hot with rice
