Beetroot Malai Koftha Curry


1.Beetroot boiled and grated
2.Corn flour
3.Cashew nuts
4.Red chilli powder
5.Salt to taste
6.Corn flour
7.Turmeric powder
8.Ginger garlic paste
9.Clarified butter (Malai)
11.Masala paste(Coriander seeds,pepper corns,cloves,cumin seeds,onions)


1.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
a bowl add boiled beetroot 1 cup,corn flour 1 tbsp,salt to taste,red
chilli powder 1/2 tbsp mix well all the ingredients and prepare round
balls,keep aside.
3.Slowly drop the balls in hot oil and deep fry,keep turning the balls and fry evenly.
4.Off the stove and transfer the balls into a separate plate.
5.Take another pour some oil and heat it.
6.Add cardamoms,cloves,kismis saute for a minute,now add masala paste 1 cup,ginger garlic paste 1/2 tbsp fry for few minutes.
7.Add 1 cup cashew nut paste and mix well,add 2-3 tbsp malai and give it a mix.
8.Add red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp,a pinch of turmeric powder,salt to taste and give it a fine mix,cook for 2-3 minutes.Add some water if need (optional)
9.Finally add fried koftas in mixture and mix well.Cook for 5-10 minutes,transfer into a bowl and serve hot.
