Battani Bonda


1.Besan flour
2.Boiled green peas paste
3.Oil for deep frying
4.Curry leaves
5.Green chillies
6.Onion chopped
7.Turmeric powder
8.Salt to taste
9.Red chilli powder
10.Cooking soda
11.Boiled potatoes mashed


1.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it.
2.Add curry leaves,green chillies,onion chopped 1 cup saute till light golden colour.
3.Add green peas mashed 1 cup,pinch of turmeric powder,salt to taste,red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp and mix well.
4.Off the stove and add potatoes mashed 1 bowl and give it a good mix.Keep aside.
5.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
6.Take another bowl add 1 bowl besan flour,pinch of cooking soda,salt and mix well with water and prepare a thick batter.
7.Now prepare round balls with green peas mixture and drop them in batter,slowly coat the balls with batter,gently drop in hot oil and deep fry.
8.Keep turning the balls and fry evenly till golden brown colour.Transfer onto a paper napkin,serve hot.
