3.Urad dal
4.Onion chopped
5.Ginger garlic
6.Tamarind juice
7.Black cloves
8.Cumin seeds
9.Mustard seeds
10.Turmeric powder
11.Salt to taste
12.Curry leaves
13.Coriander leaves
14.Dry red chillies


1.Take a pan pour 2-3 tbsp oil and heat it.
2.Add urad dal,mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp,cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp,dry red chillies 2 saute till golden brown colour.
3.Add curry leaves,sorakaya pieces 1 bowl and some water,mix well.
4.Cover and cook till tender for 10 minutes.
5.Now add onion paste (ginger,garlic,onions,black cloves) 1 cup and give it a mix.
6.Add tamarind juice 4-5 tbsp,jaggery 1 small piece and mix well evenly.Cook till jaggery melts.
7.Cover and cook for 5 minutes till done,add turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp,salt to taste and give it a good mix.
8.Off the stove and transfer into a bowl,garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot.
