Vegetable Bonda


1.Beans chopped
2.Carrot grated
3.Potatoes boiled
4.Green peas boiled
5.Besan flour
6.Ginger chopped
7.Green chillies
8.Cumin seeds
9.Lemon juice
10.Red chilli powder
11.Turmeric powder
12.Salt to taste
13.Baking soda


1.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it.
2.Add cumin seeds 1 tbsp,ginger chopped 1 1/2 tbsp,green chillies finely chopped and saute for a minute.
3.Add beans chopped,carrot grated,green peas boiled all in equal quantities and fry.
4.Add salt to taste,red chilli powder,pinch of turmeric powder and give it a good mix.
5.Finally add boiled and mashed potatoes 1 bowl and mix well evenly.Cook for a minute and off the stove.Rest the mixture to cool.
6.Meanwhile heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
7.Take a bowl add besan flour 1 cup,pinch of baking soda,salt to taste and mix well with water and prepare a thick consistency batter.
8.Now prepare round balls with potatoes mixture and dip in besan batter,gently drop them in hot oil and deep fry.
9.Fry till golden brown colour, keep turning the balls and fry evenly.Transfer onto a paper napkin,drain excess oil and serve hot.
