Peanut Chutney

Peanut Chutney


1.Peanuts 1 cup
2.Dry red chillies 8-10
3.Tamarind pulp 1 tbsp
4.Onion 1 medium
5.Hing a pinch
6.Garlic chopped 10-12
7.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
8.Salt to taste
9.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Heat a non stick kadai,pour some oil.
2.Add garlic cloves chopped and saute till light golden brown colour.
3.Break red chillies and add with chopped onions and saute till onions are brown.
4.Add asofetida and mix well.Reduce heat and add peanuts,turmeric powder,salt and tamarind pulp mix well and switch off the heat.
5.Grind this mixture into a coarsely chutney using a very little amount of water and transfer into a kadai.
6.Stir for a while and add some water,cook for 1-2 minutes.Serve with dosa or any snacks.
