Spinach and Paneer Pakora


1.Besan flour 2 cups
2.Spinach leaves 20-25
3.Paneer 150 gms
4.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
5.Green chillies 1 tbsp chopped
6.Salt to taste
7.Dry mango powder 1/2 tbsp
8.Baking soda a pimch
9.Carom seeds 1/2 tbsp
10.Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
11.Asofetida a pinch


1.Take a bowl add besan flour,carom seeds,turmeric powder,salt to taste,a pinch of asofetida,baking soda,green chilli paste 1 tbsp,some water and prepare a smooth batter.
2.Cut 150 gms paneer into batons,sprinkle some red chilli powder,1/2 tbsp dry mango powder,salt to taste and toss well.
3.Now flatten spinach leaves with back of knife,arrange them in batches of 3,spread a little amount of batter between each.
4.Place a panner baton on it,roll it,seal with batter.
5.Mean while heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
6.Slowly dip paneer in batter,deep fry in hot oil till crsip and golden colour.
7.Drain on absorbent paper,sprinkle chat masala powder,serve hot with tomato ketchup.
