Kadai Prawns


1.Prawns medium 600 gms
2.Onion chopped 200 gms
3.Tomatoes chopped 2
4.Tomato puree 6 tbsp
5.Dried red chillies 5
6.Coriander seeds 2 tbsp
7.Cumin seeds 2 tbsp
8.Green chillies 2
9.Ginger 1 inch
10.Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
11.Pepper corns 8
12.Garam masala powder 1/2 tbsp
13.Salt to taste
14.Red chilli powder
15.Turmeric powder
16.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Coarsely grind red chillies,coriander seeds,cumin seeds and black pepper corns.
2.Heat oil in a non stick pan,add ginger and green chillies,saute for a half minute.
3.Add onions and saute till golden brown colour.
4.Add tomatoes chopped,puree and cook till oil separates.
5.Add red chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt and coriander leaves and mix well.
6.Add ground powder (masala powder) and mix again.
7.Add prawns and toss well,cook for 5-7 minutes.
8.Add garam masala powder and give it a good stir,serve hot with garnished coriander leaves.
