Cornflakes Chivda


1.Corn flakes 2 cups
2.Peanuts 1/2 cup
3.Cashew nuts 20-25
4.Turmeric powder 2 tbsp
5.Salt to taste
6.Red chilli powder 2 tbsp
7.Mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp
8.Curry leaves 10-12
9.Kismis 20-25
10.Sugar 1 tbsp
11.Green chillies 2-3
12.Oil 2 tbsp + deep frying


1.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
2.Deep fry 1/2 cup peanuts till golden,drain onto a absorbent paper and remove excess oil.
3.Deep fry 2 cups corn flakes till light golden colour and transfer onto a paper napkin.
4.Take another pan pour some oil and heat it.
5.Add mustard seeds,green chillies,curry leaves,kismis,cashew nuts and saute till cashews are golden in colour.
6.Switch off the stove,add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,sugar and mix well.Finally add fried peanuts and corn flakes and mix well evenly.Rest aside to cool for 5 minutes.Serve
