Raw Mango Gravy


1.Raw mango peeled and cut into cubes 1
2.Coconut grated 1/2 cup
3.Kashmiri Red chillies 5
4.Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
5.Black pepper corns 4-5
6.Coconut oil 1 tbsp
7.Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
8.Pinch of asafoetida
9.Turmeric powder 1/4 tbsp
10.Salt to taste
11.Jaggery grated 1 tbsp
12.Coconut milk 1 cup
13.Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp


1.Grind coconut grated,kashmiri red chillies,coriander seeds,black pepper corns into a fine paste with water.
2.Take a pan pour some coconut oil and heat it.
3.Add mustard seeds,when they start spluttering add pinch of asafoetida,turmeric powder,raw mango pieces and saute.
4.Add salt to taste,jaggery grated and water 1 1/2 cups and bring it to boil.
5.Add grinded paste to the raw mango and cook till mango is completely done.
6.Once mango is cooked add coconut milk and bring it to a boil.Off the stove and remove from heat.
7.Transfer into a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot.
