Tangy Potato Curry


1.Potatoes boiled and peeled 4-5 medium
2.Oil 3 tbsp
3.Mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp
4.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
5.Curry leaves 6-7
6.Green chillies finely chopped 3
7.Onion finely chopped 3
8.Turmeric powder 1/4 tbsp
9.Yogurt whisked 1/2 cup
10.Kokum petals 4-5
11.Coriander leaves 1/4 bunch
12.Coconut grated 1/4 cup
13.Salt to taste
14.Lemon juice 2 tbsp


1.Cut the boiled potatoes into four equal pieces.
2.Take a non stick pan pour some oil and heat it.
3.Add mustard seeds,when they start splutter add cumin seeds and saute.
4.Add curry leaves and green chillies and mix well.
5.Add onion chopped and saute till golden brown colour.
6.Add turmeric powder and boiled potato pieces and fry for 2-3 minutes.
7.Add curd,kokum pieces,coriander leaves,half the coconut,salt and lemon juice.Mix well.
8.Reduce heat and cook for 2-3 minutes.
9.Garnish with coriander leaves and coconut grated,serve hot.
