1.Arbi 400 gms
2.Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
3.Coriander powder 2 tbsp
4.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
5.Dry mango powder 2 tbsp
6.Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
7.Salt to taste
8.Oil 3 tbsp
9.Coriander chopped 1 tbsp


1.Wash arbi 400 gms thoroughly and dry,Peel of and make slits without cutting through.
2.Mix red chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,dry mango powder,garam masala powder and salt.
3.Now stuff this mixture into the slits of arbi.Reserve the remaining masala.
4.Take a pressure pan add 3 tbsp oil and heat it.
5.Add stuffed arbi and saute till light brown colour.
6.Sprinkle the remaining masala and mix well,add 1/2 cup water and cook till 1 whistle is out.
7.Open the lid when the pressure is reduced completely.Transfer into a bowl,garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot.
