Malabar Chicken Curry

Malabar Chicken Curry


1.Chicken 1/2 kg
2.Tomatoes 2 medium sliced
3.Green chillies 6 slit
4.Salt to taste
5.Onion 1/2 large finely sliced
6.Oil 3 tbsp
7.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
8.Curry leaves
9.Coriander seeds 3 tbsp
10.Dry red chillies 4-5
11.Garlic cloves 6
12.Ginger 1 tbsp minced
13.Coconut grated 1/3 cup


1.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it.
2.Add in the Onions and the Green Chillies and mix.
3.Sprinkle some salt to speed up the cooking process.
4.Cook the onions till light brown colur.
5.Add in tomatoes chopped and mix well,Lower the heat and add in the ground Masala.
6.Cook for few minutes and add chicken,mix well.Cook for another few minutes till chciken changes into white color.
7.Add some water as we needed for gravy consistency.
8.And bring it to boil,keep stirring in between till chicken is done.Transfer the Curry into a dish and garnish with the Onions and the Malabar Chicken Curry is ready to serve.
