Dry Chutney Powder


1.Urad dal 1/4 cup
2.Chana dal 1/4 cup
3.Moong dal 2 tbsp
4.Dry red chillies 10
5.Coriander seeds 2 tbsp
6.Curry leaves
7.Dry coconut 2 tbsp
8.Asafoetida 1/4 tbsp
9.Salt to taste
10.Lemon juice 1/8 tbsp
11.Red chilli powder if needed


1.Dry roast Chana Daal, Urad Daal and Moong Daal in a heavy bottom skillet until light golden.
2.Transfer into a plate and rest the mixture to cool.
3.In the same skillet, dry roast Red Chilies, Coriander Seeds and Curry Leaves until leaves are dry and crumbl.Fry 3-4 minutes.Transfer onto a same plate.
4. In the same skillet, dry roast Coconut Powder and Asafoetida until coconut starts to change colo.
5.Transfer onto the same plate,once cool.Transfer into blender,add lemon juice,mirch powder and salt.Blend it into a smooth powder and store in air tight jars.Serve with idlies.
