1.Masoor dal 1 1/2 cup
2.Oil 3 tbsp
3.Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
4.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
5.Dried red chillies 3
6.Onion 1 finely chopped
7.Garlic chopped 2 tbsp
8.Pinch of hing
9.Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
10.Garam masala powder 1/2 tbsp
11.Salt to taste


1.Wash and clean masoor dal for 2-3 times.
2.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it.
3.Add in mustard seeds,cumin seeds,pinch of hing,dried red chillies.chopped garlic cloves and saute till golden color.
4.Add in chopped onions and mix well.Cook till light golden color.
5.Add red chilli powder,goda masala powder,cook till oil separates.
6.Add in masoor dal and give it a good mix.Add some water as we needed till daal submerges.
7.Add salt to taste and mix well.Cover and cook for 6-7 minutes.
8.Remove the lid and add garam masala powder,chopped coriander leaves and mix well.Serve hot with chapati or rice.
