Ragda Patties


1.White peas 1 cup
2.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
3.Salt to taste
4.Onion 1/4
5.Coriander leaves 1 cup
6.Green chilli 1
7.Cumin powder 1/4 tbsp
8.Chat masala powder 1/4 tbsp
9.Tamarind 3 tbsp
10.Jaggery 1 tbsp
11.Red chilli powder 1/4 tbsp+1 tbsp
12.Lemon juice 1 tbsp
13.Potatoes 2 boiled


1.Mix all the ingredients for green chutney in blender and prepare into a puree.
2.Mix tamarind and jaggery with water and microwave for 1 minute.Keep aside for 2 hours,after that mash the tamarind pulp.
3.In the pulp add in red chilli,chat masala,salt and mix well.
4.For ragda soak peas overnight.
5.Pressure cook peas with turmeric powder for 2-3 whistles until they turn soft.
6.Once peas are done add in salt and transfer into a pan,for pattice take mashed potatoes in a bowl and in dry spices and mix well.
7.Divide the pattice into equal sizes,Grease the skillet with some oil and shallow fry the pattice till golden color on both sides.Take one pattie into a plate,pour ragda on top of it,add in green chutney and tamarind chutney.Serve hot.
