Potato with Yogurt Gravy


1.Boiled potatoes 2
2.Oil 2 tbsp
3.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
4.Pinch of asafoetida
5.Besan four 2 tbsp
6.Bay leaf 1
7.Curd 4 tbsp
8.Grated ginger 1 tbsp
9.Green chillies 1 tbsp chopped
10.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
11.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
12.Paprika 1/2 tbsp
13.Coriander powder 1/4 tbsp


1.Boil the potatoes until they are tender.
2.Peel and cut them in bite sizes pieces.
3.Mix the yogurt,ginger,green chillies,turmeric powder,coriander powder and paprika into a paste.
4.Heat oil in pan,add in cumin seeds and asafoetida when they start sizzling add in bay leaf and besan flour.Stir for about 1/2 minute until the besan flours in golden.
5.Add curd paste,stir and fry about 2 minutes on medium heat till the mixture releases oil.
6.Add boiled potatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
7.Add about 1 cup water and cook on medium heat for 4-5 minutes.Finally add coriander seeds and salt,mix well and serve hot.
