Corn Veggie Soup


1.Corn kernels 2 1/4 cup
2.Tomato 1 medium
3.Cabbage 1 finely chopped
4.String beans 8-10
5.Carrot 1 small
6.Corn flour 1 tbsp
7.Oil 1 tbsp
8.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
9.Black pepper 1/2 tbsp
10.Salt to taste
11.Lemon juice 1 tbsp


1.Chop the veggies into small pieces and remove the seeds of tomatoes and set aside.
2.Boil the corn in about 1-1/2 cups of water until the corn is soft. Remove 1/4 cup of corn and set aside.
3.Blend the rest of the corn into a paste and strain.
4.Mix the cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water and set aside.
5.Heat oil in a pan,add in cumin seeds and saute till they start sizzling add in chopped and 1/2 cup water.Cook till they  are tender.
6.Next, add the corn paste, corn, cornstarch mixture, and three cups of
water to the vegetables. Bring the soup to a boil and lower the heat to
medium low. Let the soup cook for another five minutes. Add the lemon
juice and serve.
