Kadhai Paneer


1.Paneer 1/2 pound
2.Red Capsicum 1 medium
3.Green capsicum 1 medium
4.Oil 3 tbsp
5.Tomatoes 3 medium
6.Ginger 1/4 inch
7.Green chilli
8.Pinch of asafoetida
9.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
10.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
11.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
12.Red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp
13.Fenugreek leaves 2 tbsp
14.Salt to taste


1.Cut the paneer,red,green capsicum into 1/2 inch cubes.
2.Blend the tomatoes,ginger and green chilli to make a puree.
3.Heat some oil in frying pan and stir fry paneer for 2 minutes.Take them out and drain on paper towel.
4.In the same pan add cumin seeds,asafoetida,after cumin starts sizzling add in tomato puree,coriander powder,turmeric powder,fenugreek leaves.
5.Cook for about 4 minutes,till tomato puree reduces to half in volume.
6.Add 2tbsp water and salt,bring it to boil and add paneer,capsicum.
7.Cook on lower heat for about 5 minutes till done.Serve hot.
