Chole Chaat


1.Chickpeas 1 cup
2.Potato 1 medium boiled
3.Oil 2 tbsp
4.Besan flour 1/4 cup
5.Grated ginger 1 tbsp
6.Green chilli 1 minced
7.Salt to taste
8.Black salt 1 tbsp
9.Roasted cumin powder 1 tbsp
10.Mango powder 1 tbsp
11.Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
12.Lemon juice 1 tbsp


1.Peel and cut the boiled potato into ¼ inch cubes. Set aside.
2.Wash chickpeas and soak in 4 cups of water for at least 8 hours. Drain the water and wash the chickpeas.
3.In a pressure cooker add chickpeas with four cups of water. Cook on
medium high heat. As pressure cooker starts steaming turn the heat down
to medium, and cook for another 8 minutes
4.Turn off the heat and wait until steam has stopped.
5.Meanwhile take another pan,heat some oil.Add in besan flour and stir fry for 1-2 minutes till light brown color.
6.Add grated ginger and minced green chili, stir for a few seconds. Add the chickpeas to the gram flour.
7.Add salt, black salt, black pepper, roasted cumin seed powder, and mango powder.Cook on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.  Turn off the heat.Add potatoes, garam masala and lemon juice. Mix gently.Serve hot.
