Matar Kachori


1.Maida 1 cup
2.Oil for deep frying
3.Salt to taste
4.Green peas 1 cup
5.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
6.Fennel powder 1 tbsp
7.Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
8.Ginger shredded 1 tbsp
9.Mango powder 1/2 tbsp


1.Add the flour, salt and oil in a bowl and mix it well.
2.Mix well with water and prepare a smooth dough.
3.Cover the dough and let it sit for at least fifteen minutes.
the oil in a frying pan, add green peas, stir-fry until peas are
tender,Add ginger, coriander powder, fennel seed powder, chili powder,
mango powder and salt, stir fry for another few minutes.
5.While stir frying the peas mash them with spatula.Let it cool at room temperature.
the dough and lightly knead it.Divide the dough in twelve equal
parts.Mold the dough into a shape of cup and place about 1 teaspoon of
filling in the center.And bring all the edges together and remove excess.
7.Meanwhile heat sufficient oil for deep frying,drop the kachori in hot oil and deep fry.
8.Fry on both sides evenly till light golden brown color.Serve hot.
