Gulgula (Indian Mini Donuts)


1.Wheat flour 1/2 cup
2.Sugar 1/2 cup
3.Fennel seeds 1/2 tbsp
4.Oil 1 tbsp
5.Curd 2 tbsp
6.Oil for deep frying


1.Mix whole-wheat flour, sugar, fennel seeds, and oil, add water slowly as needed to make the thick consistency batter.
2.Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium high heat.
3.Slowly drop 1 teaspoon of batter at a time in to the oil.Fry the Gulgulas golden brown all sides, turning them occasionally. It will take 2 to 3 minutes.
4.Remove the gulgulas and place over a paper towel so the excess oil is absorbed.Serve hot.
