Beerakaya Bellam Pickle


4.Dried red chillies
5.Garlic cloves
6.Tempering seeds
7.Curry leaves
8.Coriander leaves
9.Salt to taste


1.Take a pan pour 2 tbsp oil and heat it.
2.Add dried red chillies and saute for few seconds,add beerakaya peeled and chopped 1 cup and saute till moisture evaporates.
3.Take a mortar add in fried dry red chillies,garlic cloves,tamarind and crush them into a coarse paste.
4.Combine fried beerakaya pieces,salt,jaggery and crush them into a paste.Transfer into a bowl and keep asude.
5.Meanwhile take a small pan add 2 tbsp oil and heat it.
6.Add garlic cloves,mustard seeds,urad dal,cumin seeds,curry leaves and off the stove and saute.Add pinch of turmeric powder and pour on top of pickle.
