1.Black eyed peas
4.Onion chopped
5.Salt to taste
6.Red chilli powder
7.Turmeric powder
8.Tempering seeds
9.Oil for deep frying


1.Firstly soak black eyed peas for 2 hours and blend them into a smooth paste and keep aside.
2.Meanwhile take a pan pour sufficient oil for deep frying.
3.Add little amount of salt to ground paste and mix well.
4.Prepare small patties with ground paste and gently drop them in hot oil and deep fry.
5.Fry till golden brown color and drain onto a separate plate.
6.Remove excess oil from the pan and heat some required oil for preparing curry.
7.Add tempering seeds.garlic chopped,hing a pinch and saute for few seconds.
8.Add onion diced and saute,add chopped tomatoes and mix well.Add in tamarind juice and give it a stir.
turmeric powder,salt to taste,red chilli powder and mix well,cook for
few minutes.Add some water as required and bring it to boil.
jaggery to the boiling mixture and add fried round patties cut into 
pieces and mix well.Off the stove and transfer into a bowl,serve hot.
