Korameenu Fish Pickle


1.Korameenu fish
2.Ginger garlic paste
3.Garam masala powder
4.Mustard and fenugreek seeds powder (roast them first)
5.Red chilli powder
6.Salt to taste
7.Lemon juice
8.Cumin seeds
9.Dried red chillies
10.Curry leaves


1.Firstly cut the fish pieces into bite size pieces and clean them thoroughly under cold water.
2.To this add salt,food color (optional) and mix well.
3.Meanwhile heat sufficient oil for deep frying,drop the fish pieces in hot oil and deep fry till light brown color.
a bowl add in 1 cup red chilli powder,some salt as required,roughly
chopped ginger garlic,mustard and fenugreek seeds powder,garam masala
powder and mix well all the ingredients evenly.
5.Add the fried fish pieces to the dry spices,add some hot oil to mixture and mix it well.
cup of lemon juice and give it a good mix,meanwhile heat some oil and
heat it, add in dried red chillies,cumin,mustard seeds,curry leaves and
saute.Transfer the tempering mixture to fish mixture and mix well.Store
in air tight jar or glass jar for shelf period.
