Aratikaya Vada Kurma


1.Boiled Raw Banana 1
2.Capsicum chopped 1
3.Carrot chopped 1/2 cup
4.Coconut pieces
5.Tomato 1
6.Onion chopped 2
7.Onion paste 1/2 cup
8.Tomato puree 1 cup
9.Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
10.Cashew nuts 10 grams
11.Besan flour as required
12.Whole garam masala
13.Coriander leaves
14.Curry leaves
15.Red chilli powder
16.Salt to taste
17.Oil for deep frying


1.Take a bowl add in mashed banana,salt,red chilli powder,onions,besan flour,ginger garlic paste,tomato pieces,curry leaves,coriander leaves and mix well all the ingredients.
2.Meanwhile heat sufficient oil for deep frying,drop the mixture in hot oil like vadas and deep fry till golden brown colour.
3.Take another bowl pour some oil and heat it,add cinnamon stick,cloves,onion paste and mix well.Fry till raw smell goes off.
4.Add curry leaves,tomato puree and mix well.Add ginger garlic paste,salt,red chilli powder,carrot,mix well.Cover and cook for another few minutes.
5.Add capsicum chopped,cover and cook till tender.Add coconut milk grinded with cashews,poppy seeds to the pan and bring it to boil for few minutes on medium flame.
6.Finally add fried vadas to the pan,cover and cook for couple of  minutes till done,transfer into a bowl,garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
