Kadhu Capsicum Masala Curry


1.Sorakaya pieces 2 cups
2.Capsicum chopped 1
3.Onion chopped 1
4.Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
5.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
6.Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
7.Red chilli powder
8.Salt to taste
9.Turmeric powder
10.Dru coconut powder 2 tbsp
11.Tomatoes chopped 2 tbsp
12.Coriander leaves
13.Poppy seeds 2 tbsp (Gasagasalu)
14.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it,add onion chopped,ginger garlic paste and mix well.Fry for few minutes.
2.Add ground masala paste (dry roast coconut and poppy seeds) to the pan and mix well.Add salt to taste,red chilli powder,turmeric and saute till raw smell goes off.
3.Add sorakaya pieces and mix well till masala coats well to the pieces.Add capsicum chopped and give it a stir.Cook till tender.
4.Add tomatoes chopped,coriander powder and mix well evenly.Add required amount of water,cover and cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.
5.Finally sprinkle some garam masala powder and transfer into a separate bowl,garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot.
