Methi Dal


1.Toor dal 1 cup
2.Fenugreek leaves 1/2 cup
3.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
4.Mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp
5.Dried red chillies 2
6.Green chillies 2
7.Curry leaves
8.Salt to taste
9.Red chilli powder
10.Turmeric powder a pinch
11.Tomatoes chopped 2
12.Coriander leaves
13.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it,add dried red chillies,mustard seeds,cumin seeds,curry leaves,green chillies and saute for few minutes.
2.Add methi leaves to the pan and mix it well,fry for few minutes on medium flame.
3.Add tomatoes,salt,red chilli powder and mix well,cook till tomatoes are tender.
4.Finally add boiled toor dal to the pan and mix well,add some water as required,cover and cook for few minutes till done.
5.Transfer into a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot.
