Kakarakaya 65


1.Kakarakayalu 1 cup boiled in buttermilk
2.Turmeric a pinch
3.Buttermilk 1 cup
4.Salt to taste
5.Red chilli powder
6.Maida 1 cup
7.Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
8.Curd 1/2 cup
9.Food colour a pinch
10.Green chillies chopped 5
11.Curry leaves
12.Oil for deep frying
13.Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
14.Coriander leaves


1.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
2.Take a bowl add maida,salt,red chilli powder,ginger garlic paste,garam masala powder and mix well by adding some water as required,prepare a thick consistency batter.
3.Add boiled kakarakayalu pieces to the batter and coat well,slowly drop them in hot oil and deep fry.
4.Meanwhile take another pan pour some oil and heat it,add green chillies,curry leaves,curd and saute for few seconds.
5.Add food colour,salt and give it a stir,finally add fried kakarakayalu to the frying pan and give it a fine stir.Coat well the pieces all over evenly.Sprinkle some coriander leaves and off the stove.Transfer into a bowl,garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
