Tamalapaku Kofta Curry


1.Betel leaves 1 cup
2.Onion chopped 2
3.Besan flour 1 cup
4.Rice flour 2 tbsp
5.Tomato puree 1/2 cup
6.Cashew nut paste 1/2 cup
7.Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
8.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
9.Masala red chilli powder
10.Salt to taste
11.Coriander leaves
12.Pudina leaves
13.Oil for deep frying


1.Take a deep bowl add betel leaves,onions,besan flour,rice flour,masala red chilli,coriander powder,garam masala,salt and mix well with water and prepare round balls with the mixture.
2.Meanwhile heat sufficient oil for deep frying,slowly drop the balls in hot oil and deep fry till golden brown colour.
3.Take another pan pour some oil and heat it,add onions and saute for few minutes.Add tomato puree,red chilli powder,coriander powder and cook for few minutes.
4.Add salt,some water as required and cook for another few minutes,add cashew nut paste and give it a stir.
5.Add garam masala powder and mix well,cover and cook for 1 minutes.
6.Finally add kofta balls to the pan and give it a good mix.Add some water as required and cook for few minutes.Sprinkle some coriander leaves and pudina.Transfer into a bowl and serve hot.
