Oats Gavalu


1.Oats powder 1 cup
2.Maida 1 cup
3.Corn flour 1 cup
4.Jaggery 1 cup
5.Ghee 3 tbsp
6.Salt to taste
8.Oil for deep frying


1.Take a deep bowl add maida,oats powder,corn flour,oil,ghee,salt and mix well all the ingredients with water and prepare a smooth dough.
2.Meanwhile heat sufficient oil for deep frying,prepare jaggery syrup on other side.
3.Now prepare small balls with dough and press it on gavvalu mould,run the dough ball on mould and prepare gavvalu.
4.Repeat the same process for other dough balls.
5.Fry the gavvalu in hot oil and deep fry till nice golden colour,sprinkle some cardamom powder in jaggery syrup.
6.Finally add fried gavvalu in jaggery syrup and mix well.Transfer into a bowl and serve.
