1.Urad dal 1 cup soaked and grinded
2.Curd 1/2 ltr
3.Mustard powder 1 tbsp
4.Salt to taste
5.Tempering seeds 1 tbsp
6.Dried red chillies 2
7.Curry leaves
8.Ghee 1 tbsp
9.Oil for deep frying


1.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
2.Take a bowl add salt to urad dal batter and mix well.Prepare small vadas with urad mixture on plastic cover and drop them in hot oil and deep fry till nice golden colour.
3.Meanwhile whisk the curd,add mustard powder,salt and mix well and keep aside.
4.Now dip the vadas in cold water and squeeze excess water and drop them in curd mixture.Soak for 5 minutes.
5.Heat some ghee in a small pan,add tempering seeds,dried red chillies,curry leaves and saute for a minutes.Switch of the flame and pour on top curd mixture and serve.
