Dosakayala Chekkalu


1.Dosakaya 1 no.
2.Rice flour 2 cups
3.Carrot grated 1/2 cup
4.Moong dal 2 tbsp
5.Onions 2
6.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
7.Green chillies 6
8.Curry leaves
9.Coriander leaves
10.Salt to taste
11.Oil for deep frying


1.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
2.Combine rice flour,dosakaya pulp,onion green chilli paste,carrot,moong dal,cumin seeds,salt,coriander leaves,curry leaves and mix well with some water.
3.Prepare a chapathi dough,divide the dugh into equal portions and prepare chekkalu on cloth or any plastic cover.
4.Gently drop them in hot oil and deep fry till nice golden colour and crisp.Serve hot.
