Chilakada Dumpa Purnalu


1.Sweet potato boiled 1/4 kilo
2.Urad dal 1 cup
3.Rice 2 cups
4.Jaggery 1 cup
5.Sesame seeds 1/2 cup
6.Maida 2 tbsp
7.Salt a pinch
8.Cardamom powder
9.Oil for deep frying


1.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
2.Take a pan add mashed sweet potato,jaggery and mix well till jaggery melts evenly.
3.Add sesame seeds to the frying pan and saute for a minute,finally sprinkle some cardamom powder and give it a good mix.Rest aside to cool down.
4.Prepare urad dal batter,combine maida,salt and salt,mix well evenly.
5.Now prepare small roundels with the mixture and dip in urad dal batter,gently drop them in hot oil and deep fry till nice golden colour.Serve hot.
