Besan Puri

Besan Puri


1.Besan flour 1 cup
2.Maida 1 cup
3.Onion chopped 1
4.Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
5.Garam masala powder 1/4 tbsp
6.Red chilli powder
7.Turmeric powder a pinch
8.Lemon juice 1 tbsp
9.Coriander leaves
10.Pudina leaves
11.Curry leaves
12.Salt to taste
13.Oil for deep frying


1.Prepare a smooth dough with maida and keep aside for 5 minutes.
2.Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan,add onions and fry till golden brown colour,add ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder,coriander ,pudina leaves and mix well.
3.Add besan flour,red chilli powder,salt and mix well.Switch off the flame and add lemon juice,garam masala powder.
4.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.Now divide the maida into small balls and stuff the besan mixture inside,wrap around the edges and roll into a thin puri.
5.Drop the puris in hot oil and deep fry till puri puffs up.Serve hot.
