CS Somesh Kumar review on Oxygen Tankers Transportation

Hyderabad: As per the directions of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar IAS directed all the concerned officials to work with co-ordination to ensure uninterrupted and speedy Transportation of Medical Oxygen Tankers.

Addressing a meeting with Transport, RTC officials today at BRKR Bhavan Chief Secretary directed Transport Department officials to form teams with experts in logistics to Transport Oxygen tankers in two routes onward and return from Angur, Odisha and Bellari, Karnataka in shortest possible time.
 
He directed officials to discuss with railway officials to provide Green Channel facility for the non-stop movement of the oxygen express to minimize travelling time to three days from six days. He also directed officials to provide police escort along with mechanics and other experts team to handle any untoward incidents enroute. He suggested officials to modify the tankers where they can be easily air lifted in cargo aircrafts.
 
He directed Transport officials to form teams with drivers and mechanics to ply the tankers around the clock to designated points. pool up additional tankers from private contractors to add to the present 30 fleet of tankers which are transporting oxygen.
 
Special Chief Secretary TR&B Sunil Sharma, Principal Secretary, GAD Vikas Raj, Secretary PR&RD Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Secretary Health S.A.M.Rizvi, CIG Seshadri, Secretary Disaster Management Rahul Bojja, Special Secretary Finance Ronald Rose, Director Prohibition and Excise Sarfaraz Ahmed, Commissioner Transport M.R.M. Rao and other  officials were present.
