Hyderabad, March 8th, 2021: Global digital marketing and customer service outsourcer SYKES opened its fourth centre in Hyderabad. Located at Laxmi Infobahn (LIB) in the Kokapet area, this huge workspace of close to 44,000 sq. ft. will be their 6th site in the country and the second space they’ve opened since the lockdown began. This expansion adds another 500- seats to its existing team of 2,000 employees, accommodating its rapidly growing workforce in the country.

SYKES is a global leader that creates intelligent customer experiences and serves clients and brands for varied industries, including Banking, Communication, Technology, Telecom, Retail, and Small & Medium businesses through multiple channels. The company is focused on building employee-centric facilities that promote an environment conducive to working, learning, and growing professionally in the BPO industry.

Announcing the launch of the fourth centre in Hyderabad, SYKES India’s Country Head, Mr. Dishant Bhojwani, said, “Amidst the pandemic, SYKES India has experienced rapid growth based on servicing strategic clients who have played important roles in supporting customers during the global lockdown. Their explosive customer growth has fuelled our business, which has required Sykes’ continued expansion in the country to keep pace with demand. We have a strong focus in India and despite the challenges of operating during the pandemic, we still managed to nearly double our employee count from 2019.  And yet, we believe that we are still early in our growth journey. We are committed to supporting the community by providing opportunities for top talents, and giving them the chance to work with world-class teams all over the globe.”

NEW OFFICE SPACE

The vibrant office design by SYKES is an example of advanced office architecture and employee-centric workspace. The facility also provides a first-aid room for medical emergencies and a separate prayer room to accommodate employee needs.

Aside from the functionality of its spaces, SYKES is also committed to answering the challenges of sustainability in all its efforts. One way that they integrate this advocacy is through the designs of its centres, prioritizing energy and water conservation. They also use technology such as motion sensors and LED lights to save electricity. Another way that they work on this is through partnering with building spaces that include sustainability as part of their priority. The latest centre at Laxmi Infobahn has received its LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification - an internationally recognized green building certification system.

SAFETY PRACTICES ON-SITE

All SYKES sites follow the global safety practices within the premises. Thus, the new site prioritizes zoning to comply with the on-going requirement of social distancing. Its open space plan gives employees enough area to move around without compromising safety.

Employees follow strict social distancing, and workstations are allotted based on these protocols. All workstations are partitioned, and sanitizers are placed in every corner for easier access. Closed-door meetings and conference rooms are not allowed in the meantime to avoid unnecessary contact. COVID-19 posters and awareness materials are also placed on-site to remind employees of protocols and social distancing measures.

The entire floor and all workstations are sanitized regularly upon every login and logout, followed by deep cleaning and sanitization once every 24 hours. Safety measures including temperature check, providing masks, and going through footbaths before entry are strictly followed. SYKES has also educated all team members on the importance of these protocols and controls to ensure that everyone on site is safe.

As SYKES continues to attend to its rapid growth, the company ensures that its priority will always be its employees. Employee-centric facilities, strengthened by strict health protocols, are created to cater to their needs, ensuring that they will have a safe space to continue to work, learn, and grow.
