Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan gives counter to CM KCR
Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has expressed strong disapproval of the way the Governor's office was criticized by Chief Ministers and national leaders at a public meeting in Khammam on Wednesday. Speaking to the media, Governor Tamilisai said that Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao had disrespected the office of the Governor. She emphasized that she was well aware of the protocol accorded to the Governor by state governments and that the government should honor the office of the Governor and not denigrate it.
Governor Tamilisai also took issue with the government not informing her about the Republic Day celebrations, where the Governor traditionally takes the guard of honor and addresses the gathering. She stated that the state government should first answer why protocols were not being followed and that she would not comment on pending files until the government makes its position clear.
