Nepal Plane Crash: 72 onboard, multiple fatalities

Hyderabad: A plane carrying 72 people from Kathmandu crashed in Nepal's Pokhara on the morning of this day, Yeti Airlines said. Reports indicate that at least 30 bodies have been recovered from the wreckage. The twin-engine ATR 72 aircraft, operated by Yeti Airlines, was en route from Kathmandu to Pokhara with 68 passengers and 4 crew members on board.

The crash occurred between the old and new airports in the city, located in western Nepal. Rescue operations have been hindered by a fire at the wreckage. Nepal's Prime Minister has called an emergency cabinet meeting and investigations are underway.
