After video of a farmer humiliated at showroom goes viral, Anand Mahindra responds
People have started tagging Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra on social media to express that their apology to a Karnataka farmer is insufficient and to question whether any action would be taken against the sales executive or the showroom workers. The farmer previously claimed that he was humiliated at a Mahindra shop in Tumkur after going there to select a pick-up vehicle. The farmer claims he was made fun of because of his appearance.
Mahindra, citing a tweet from a top Mahindra Group executive, guaranteed that the situation will be resolved as soon as possible. "The primary goal of Mahindra Rise is to empower our communities and all stakeholders to rise." And one of the most important Core Values is to protect an individual's dignity. "Any deviation from this principle will be dealt with as soon as possible," he tweeted.
