Jio completes 5G coverage plans for top 1,000 cities

A senior business official stated during a presentation that Jio has finished 5G network coverage planning for the top 1,000 cities in the country and is expanding its fibre capacity as well as executing pilots across several sites.

The business company has formed teams to focus on specialised 5G rollout solutions in India. Because 5G is such a novel technology, the teams have focused on the most cutting-edge techniques to network design, including 3D maps and ray tracing technologies.

'5G coverage planning for 1,000 major cities throughout the nation has been finished, and Jio has begun conducting trials on advanced use cases across healthcare and industrial automation on its 5G network,' Jio has released a statement.
