Virat Kohli breaks Sachin Tendulkar's massive record
Virat Kohli became the Indian batsman with the most runs in away ODIs on Wednesday, just days after relinquishing the Test captaincy. Kohli accomplished the feat during India's first One-Day International (ODI) match against South Africa at Boland Park. Virat Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar's record of 5065 runs (in 146 innings) as the highest runs scored by an Indian hitter in away ODIs. Kohli entered the place (his 104th innings) behind Tendulkar by nine runs. Kohli is currently only behind Tendulkar, who has hit 2,001 runs in ODIs against South Africa, the highest by any player across nations.
The other cricketers among top five are Mahendra Singh Dhoni (4520 runs in 124 innings), Rahul Dravid (3998 runs in 110 innings), and Sourav Ganguly (3468 runs in 98 innings).
