I deeply respect the transgender ethnic community: Upasana Konidela
Upasana Konidela kickstarted the wedding ceremony of her sister Anushpala with a blessing ceremony. She invited her transgender friend Lakshminaraya Tripathi and others to bless her sister before wedding rituals started.
She shared a pic of them on Instagram and captioned it as "The blessing ceremony was a perfect opportunity to celebrate life, inclusion & humanity as a whole. Thank u @laxminarayan_tripathi ma for kicking off @anushpala ‘s wedding celebrations with so much affection. U always teach me to live life to the fullest."
She further mentioned as "I truly & deeply respect the transgender ethnic community of Hyderabad. It’s said to be one of the oldest in India. We were privileged to host representatives of the 6 badhai houses in Hyderabad. They have great stories to tell about life. I’m happy to have been able to interact with the community more closely."
