Lok Sabha: Raghurama Krishnam Raju shocking comments on AP Govt debt
The YSRCP government's debt crisis in Andhra Pradesh has been brought to the notice of the Lok Sabha. Raghuram Krishnan Raju, a YSRCP dissident MP, addressed the matter in the Lok Sabha today. He has asked Prime Minister Modi and the central government to intervene in relation to the debts accumulated by the AP government. Raghuram Krishnan Raju stated in the Lok Sabha that the financial situation in Andhra Pradesh has deteriorated. He has specifically claimed that the AP administration was breaking the FRBM borrowing limit imposed by the central government on the states.
Raghuram claimed that this violated Article 293. He told the Lok Sabha that AP loans have now reached Rs 7 lakh crore and that the administration is attempting to borrow additional Rs 1 lakh crore.
